The working principle of explosion-proof flame arrester for storage tanks is mainly based on two aspects:

Heat transfer: When the flame passes through the pores or channels of the flame arrester, due to the large heat transfer area of the channels or pores, the temperature drops after the heat exchange between the flame and the channel wall, and the flame is extinguished to a certain extent.Flame Arresters

Wall effect: As the size of the flame arrester channel decreases, the collision probability between free radicals and reaction molecules decreases, while the collision probability between free radicals and the channel wall increases, which reduces the reaction of free radicals. When the channel size decreases to a certain value, the flame is prevented.

Prevent flame spread: The explosion-proof flame arrester of the storage tank through its special design structure, such as small pores or channels, so that the flame is extinguished due to heat loss when passing through these channels, thus preventing the further spread of the flame.

Improved tank safety: As part of the tank system, explosion-proof flame arresters can significantly improve tank safety and reduce losses due to fire or explosion accidents.

Use with a breather valve: The tank arrester is usually used with a breather valve to better control the gas flow and pressure changes inside the tank.

Under normal circumstances, (fire) breathing valve operating pressure to B shall prevail;
